This ReLIVE Surgery introduces an innovative antrostomy design technique developed by Prof. Tiziano Testori and his team: the Simplifying Membrane Detachment Technique. Also called S.A.D. Technique, this technique facilitates maxillary sinus membrane elevation, making the antrostomy easier and decreasing the perforation rate.
In this clinical video, Prof. Tiziano Testori performs a maxillary sinus elevation with the reconstruction of the atrophic maxilla on the horizontal plane to treat a patient with missing molars and premolars both in the upper and lower arch and with bone resorption on the horizontal plane.
The treatment plan consists in reconstructing the atrophic maxilla both in the right and left side with contextual implant placement in the lower arch.

About the speaker
Prof Tiziano Testori, MD, DDS, FICD, currently serves as the head of the Implant Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation section of the Department of Biomedical, Surgical, and Dental
Science at the Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute in Milan, Italy, and as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan.
He is Former President (2017-2018) of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO). He is Member of the Editorial Board of IJOMI, EJOI, IJPRD (Quintessence Publishing Chicago).
Prof. Testori has authored 120 peer-reviewed publications and 4 books on Implantology.
