Clinical video description:
The clinical case illustrated here presents a significant esthetic problem in the anterior sector. Dr. Paniz has to manage a high gingival smile with imperfections on the two central incisors and the soft tissues adjacent to element 11, where we see an implant affected by peri-implantitis.
The treatment plan includes the placement of a new implant on element 11, the installation of a full crown on 21 and rehabilitation with veneers on 12 and 22.
Prior to the start of the actual treatment, the preparation protocol of the surface of the tooth concerned by the prosthesis is analysed in detail, and once good tissue symmetry has been obtained a Mock-Up is carried out in order to preview the final result of the case directly in the patient's mouth.
Participants will then be able to observe, thanks to several surgical clips, the
implementation of the dental substrate milling protocol to reduce the thickness in
favor of the future work of the dental technician.
The preparation phase involves shortening the tooth by about 1 mm and is finalized
by the application of a chamfer and retractor wire at both the gingival and interproximal level.
Once the preparatory stages have been completed, Dr. Paniz inserts the temporaries and take a digital impression, which he then sends to the dental technician who is in charge of constructing the definitive prostheses.
