Dr. Loi explains how the goal of the dental laboratory in the B.O.P.T.® protocol is to adapt the gingiva to the new coronal profiles, rather than simply filling the space created by the preparation, as is done with traditional finish lines.
This approach allows for the manipulation of gingival tissues through controlled sulcus invasion and remodulation of the emergence profile.
Participants will see how the laboratory protocol is divided into three stages: positioning of the prosthetic margin, development of the emergence profile, and gingival conditioning on the model.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery with a specialization in Odontostomatology and Prosthetic Dentistry from the University of Cagliari, Dr. Ignazio Loi is an Active Member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry. He is the creator and leading global expert of the simplified prosthetic technique B.O.P.T.® and regularly holds congresses and lectures on the topic worldwide.
