What it covers
Dr. Ignazio Loi explains how vertical preparation allows for the creation of an ideal emergence profile, promoting the formation of horizontal biological width and enabling the tissues to adapt and stabilize without the need for surgical interventions.
Thanks to vertical preparation, it is possible to achieve ideal symmetry, avoiding the limitations of horizontal finish lines and improving aesthetic-functional integration. This approach prevents the creation of a step during milling to avoid gingival recession and ensures long-term tissue stability.
Participants will understand how form dominance is a key factor for tissue maintenance, allowing them to realign and reposition the tissues using only prosthetic forms.
In particlar, this lecture covers the following topics:
- The role of the emergence profile in creating biological width
- Realigning tissues without surgery using only prosthetic forms
- Vertical preparation and respecting the anatomical dominance of natural teeth
- How to achieve prosthetic symmetry
