What it covers
The analysis of the shapes, volumes, and contours of prosthetic preparations is essential to achieve optimal aesthetic and functional results, considering that gingival contours can become asymmetrical due to various factors, compromising the harmony of the smile.
Participants will see how, traditionally, aligning the contours requires a surgical approach followed by complex symmetrical preparation of the finish lines, while the B.O.P.T.® technique allows for proper alignment without surgery, by coronally moving the finish line and ensuring tissue stability
In particlar, this lecture covers the following topics:
- The importance of designing restoration shapes and volumes to ensure symmetry and functionality
- Causes and aesthetic impact of asymmetries in gingival contours on prosthetic rehabilitations
- Horizontal preparation and periodontal surgery VS vertical preparation without surgery
- The goals of B.O.P.T.®: coronalization of the finish line
