De qué trata
Los incisivos centrales inferiores representan un área crítica para el tratamiento de la recesión gingival. La escasa disponibilidad de tejido queratinizado y la limitada profundidad del vestíbulo plantean serias dudas sobre la utilización de las técnicas bilaminares. Este caso ofrece una perspectiva diferente del escenario clínico, presentando un colgajo desplazado lateralmente y coadyuvado con una CTG palatina. La adopción del colgajo desplazado lateralmente permite restablecer la verticalidad de la profundidad del vestibulum en el elemento que presenta recesión, al mismo tiempo aprovechando la CTG como cobertura en el diente adyacente.

The first stage of this learning experience focuses on the theoretical aspects
characterizing the rationale behind periodontal surgery.
Participants will receive a comprehensive and up-to-date training on the latest developments in the surgical management of simple and complex cases with standard and replicable protocols.
The module includes 5 theoretical video lectures featuring the presentation of various clinical cases, followed by 2 final ReLIVE Surgeries that are shown and discussed step by step to put the previously presented theoretical concepts into practice.

Giovanni Zucchelli
Giovanni Zucchelli, DDS, Ph.D. graduated in 1988 from the University of Bologna, Italy with a degree in dentistry. He was Professor of Periodontology and Implantology at the University of Bologna, Italy, from 2000 to 2025. Giovanni Zucchelli received many awards for clinical research in periodontology in Europe and the United States. Innovator of several soft tissue plastic surgical techniques, he is also author of more than 100 publications in Pubmed. He is speaker at major international conferences on periodontology and has taught theoretical and practical (with live surgery) courses in numerous countries. Zucchelli is the author of the book titled, "Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery" best seller from Quintessence Publishing which is published in 10 different languages and co-author of two illustrated textbooks on periodontal plastic surgery (Ed. Martina) and of the chapter "Mucogingival Therapy-Periodontal Plastic Surgery" in Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (Lindhe J, Lang NP, Karring T [eds], Wiley-Blackwell).
