De qué trata

Implant placement in the aesthetic zone requires careful understanding of the biological and anatomical challenges that can compromise long-term success. This first part focuses on recognizing and managing the main risk factors to achieve predictable and natural-looking results.

This lesson examines the most common complications in the aesthetic zone such as apical socket perforation, labial bone plate loss, and interdental papilla loss. It explains how implant position and the use of angulated screw channel abutments influence the risk of apical socket perforation.

Through real clinical cases, participants will gain insight into diagnostic and surgical strategies that help preserve both bone and soft tissue integrity while maintaining aesthetic harmony.

In particular, this lecture covers the following topics:

  • Main complications in the aesthetic zone: apical socket perforation, labial bone plate loss, and papilla loss
  • The impact of implant positioning on apical socket integrity
  • Clinical implications of using angulated screw channel abutments
  • Techniques to prevent tissue loss and improve long-term outcomes
