What it covers

Explore how orthodontics can enhance restorative dentistry outcomes in adult patients. This lesson highlights the benefits and considerations of integrating orthodontics into complex aesthetic treatments.

Multiple clinical cases are presented to demonstrate when orthodontic intervention is necessary or optional and how it can make restorative treatments more predictable and less invasive.

Key topics include managing large or misaligned teeth, correcting crowding, and addressing aesthetic issues such as black triangles and tooth discoloration. Interdisciplinary strategies, including staged tooth movements and forced extrusion, are discussed alongside diagnostic tools like proportion gauges.

Practical insights into periodontal phenotypes, tooth shape, and facial considerations provide a comprehensive approach to planning successful aesthetic treatments.
