What it covers

This session explores the anatomical and prosthetic principles that guide successful implant placement in the aesthetic area. Understanding bone morphology, vascularization, and implant geometry is essential for achieving stable and predictable outcomes.

This lesson focuses on the characteristics and blood supply of the facial bone plate, emphasizing their importance for maintaining tissue health and long-term aesthetic stability. It also provides guidance on selecting the ideal implant macro-geometry, with a focus on tapered uniaxial designs that help reduce the risk of perforation and optimize bone preservation.

Through case discussions, the lecture demonstrates how precise anatomical assessment and thoughtful implant design selection can elevate clinical results in the aesthetic zone.

In particular, this lecture covers the following topics:

  • Anatomical features and vascularization of the facial bone plate
  • The importance of blood supply for labial bone stability
  • Criteria for selecting implant macro-geometry in the aesthetic zone
  • Benefits of tapered uniaxial implant designs for predictable outcomes
