In this second clinical video on anatomical preparation, pterygoid implants will be analyzed by highlighting their path through the maxillary and pterygoid bone, as well as their differences from tuberous implants. Prof. Agliardi discusses in detail the necessary measurement of the proportion of bone available to accommodate the implant, which can only be performed by accessing the pterygoid process through the disconnection of the incisure with the maxillary bone.

4The necessary preoperative assessments to be implemented during treatment planning will be discussed, and ample space will be dedicated to the analysis of correct implant position and inclination, with tips and tricks and how to avoid causing injury to the most sensitive parts of the area.
Next, the focus will shift to zygomatic implants of which protocols, surgical procedures and key points to be observed will be discussed in detail in addition to both anatomical and biomechanical considerations.
The Extra Module ‘Aesthetic perioral treatment of edentulous people’ has been produced thanks to the collaboration with Dr. Ezio Costa and it is offered to all Master Course ‘Full Tilted Implants’ enrollees.
