Participants will appreciate the quality and the precision of Prof. Manfredini’s questions; according to the lecturer, the Burning Mouth Syndrome diagnosis was pretty straightforward and didn’t require any special instrument.
One of the most important phase of the diagnostic procedure shown in this clinical video is the interaction between the patient and the clinician: it was fundamental for him to understand that there was no correlation between the Burning Mouth Syndrome and the occlusion or other teeth-related problems. In situations of physical weakness, in fact, small interventions can activate the nerve cells in the mouth and cause widespread burning in the mouth.
