De qué trata

The term orofacial pain commonly refers to pain associated with the hard and soft tissues of the head, face, oral cavity, and neck. Prof. Dr. Steven Bender discusses and describes three major orofacial pain disorders: TMDs, oromotor and jaw behavior disorders, and neurovascular and headache disorders.
He then explains that the pathophysiology of OFPs may be due to diseases of the orofacial structures, musculoskeletal system disorders, peripheral or central nervous system disorders, systemic maladies, the manifestation of psychosocial disorders, or possibly the sequela of poor sleep.
