In this third presentation, Dr. Mangano introduces Virtual and Mixed Reality, technologies that are revolutionizing the planning and execution of implant therapies. Participants will explore the clinical distinction between pass-through systems (immersive virtual reality) and see-through devices, highlighting why the latter are the only ones truly suitable for a surgical environment as they allow the operator to maintain direct visual contact with the surgical field.
By integrating advanced segmentation and 3D design, these technologies turn the monitor into a holographic workspace, elevating standards for training, communication, and operative precision.

El docente
Dentist, graduated with honors in 2003 and awarded a PhD in 2016, Francesco Mangano is among the leading international experts in digital dentistry. Associate Professor at Sechenov University, he serves as Editor of the Journal of Dentistry and is the author of over 140 scientific publications. Founder and President (2024–2025) of the Digital Dentistry Society, he practices in a highly digitalized clinic focused on digital prosthodontics.
