De qué trata
Choosing the right abutment is a determining factor for the precision and longevity of the restoration. Dr. Vailati analyzes how the choice between screw-retained or cemented prostheses influences abutment selection and fabrication techniques. The role of traditional and digital technologies in achieving passive-fit structures is thoroughly explored.
In particular, this lesson focuses on:
- Criteria for abutment selection in screw-retained and cemented prostheses.
- Impression techniques for accurate laboratory transmission.
- Fabrication methods: traditional casting, laser-sintering, and CAD-CAM milling.
- Subtractive vs. additive techniques: advantages and limitations.
