What it covers
The video shows the surgical improvement in bucco-lingual dimension of the soft tissue of a 4-element pontic supported by 2 implants on 2.2 and 1.2. The prosthetic element shows no integration with the sorrounding soft tissue and marked buccal displacement. The coronal advancement of the flap allows to obtain primary wound closure while 3 separate CTGs permit to enhance the pontic area as well as the perimplant soft tissue contours.

Participants will receive a comprehensive and up-to-date training on the latest developments in the surgical management of simple and complex cases with standard and replicable protocols.

Giovanni Zucchelli
Giovanni Zucchelli, DDS, Ph.D. graduated in 1988 from the University of Bologna, Italy with a degree in dentistry. He was Professor of Periodontology and Implantology at the University of Bologna, Italy, from 2000 to 2025. Giovanni Zucchelli received many awards for clinical research in periodontology in Europe and the United States. Innovator of several soft tissue plastic surgical techniques, he is also author of more than 100 publications in Pubmed. He is speaker at major international conferences on periodontology and has taught theoretical and practical (with live surgery) courses in numerous countries. Zucchelli is the author of the book titled, "Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery" best seller from Quintessence Publishing which is published in 10 different languages and co-author of two illustrated textbooks on periodontal plastic surgery (Ed. Martina) and of the chapter "Mucogingival Therapy-Periodontal Plastic Surgery" in Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (Lindhe J, Lang NP, Karring T [eds], Wiley-Blackwell).
