One of the most important phase of the diagnostic procedure shown in this clinical video is the interaction between the patient and the clinician: it was fundamental for him to understand that there was no correlation between the Burning Mouth Syndrome and the occlusion or other teeth-related problems. In situations of physical weakness, in fact, small interventions can activate the nerve cells in the mouth and cause widespread burning in the mouth.
