What it covers

In this video lesson, Dr Powell discusses the parameters to consider when choosing materials and components for your restorations: aesthetics, retrievability and cost.

Dr Powell shows several clinical cases in which he used different types of crowns: anterior implant crowns, posterior implant restorations, and long posterior implant restorations.

In particular, this lecture covers the following topics:

  • Aesthetics: the degree of translucency of the material and its color
  • Retrievability: cement-retained vs screw-retained
  • Custom abutment vs stock abutment
  • Angulated screw channel abutment
  • Morphology and occlusion design of the restoration
