Clear Aligners: how to make them work
9 lessons · 12h 30min

What it covers

Can we overcome the biomechanical limitations of aligners by integrating fixed appliances or skeletal anchorage to maximize precision? In this lesson, Dr. Marco Rosa explores hybrid treatments, explaining how combining Clear Aligners with TADs or sectionals is the key to managing complex root parallelism, extrusions, and severe rotations. The goal is to adopt simple-to-program auxiliary devices that guarantee clinical goals in minimal time. This hybrid approach proves indispensable in post-extraction cases, Spee curve correction, and impacted tooth management, maintaining case control even when patient compliance drops.

In particular, this lesson focuses on:

  • Biomechanical synergies: using sectionals and TADs to optimize root parallelism and rapid extrusions.
  • Anchorage management: protocols for molar distalization and mesialization independent of patient compliance.
  • Advanced occlusal corrections: accelerating treatment times for Spee curve and occlusal plane cant management.
  • Workflows in complex cases: clinical indications for hybrid treatments with impacted teeth and mass retraction.
