[FREE LECTURE] Clear Aligners: How and Why to Make Them Work?
FREE LECTURE
What it covers
Explore the possibilities of clear aligners in impacted tooth management in this free lesson with Dr Marco Rosa.
Through the case of a young patient with an impacted upper central incisor, discover how aligners can create space while addressing aesthetic concerns during treatment. See how surgical exposure, elastic traction and attachments are integrated to guide eruption and control root position.
Understand both the clinical potential and the limitations of this approach, including treatment time compared with fixed appliances.
Why is it essential to learn how to use clear aligners?
- Respond to patient expectations: offer an informed treatment approach when patients specifically request aligners.
- Expand your clinical options: understand how aligners can support selected complex cases when combined with appropriate auxiliaries.
- Address aesthetic concerns during treatment: use aligners to temporarily conceal the gap left by an unerupted tooth.
- Develop biomechanical judgement: learn to plan space creation, control root position and recognise when alternative mechanics may be more efficient.
